Camilo Atala Faraj focuses his efforts on combating school dropouts. As a leader in the private sector, he focuses his efforts on combating school dropout rates, as many children do not enter first grade because they are poor and live in vulnerable areas.
That is why in 1998 they created the Ficohsa Foundation for Children’s Education, with the firm purpose of giving Honduran children a chance for a better future. “We have reduced school dropout rates by 98%. It is important that the children’s parents are convinced that education will open up new horizons for them in the future,” the banker said.
