December edition of Riding South

Lots of neat stuff planned for the Dec. edition. There’s a story and photos of a sidecar rally, a review of a Honda Metropolitan, and Ann Caruso has said I may be getting another lady rider feature. I’ve still got another motorcycle review to write. I’m working on some updates for the web site, among which is this new blog. Yahoo 360 is going away and I wanted to have a blog more directly linked to the site anyway, so I’m hoping this will work out. I’ve started a column archive, which will grow in coming weeks and I’m hoping to get some of the early tour stories and photos on line. My new sales rep and advertising guru Ellie Wilson has sold some advertising for the site, which will be up in December and the web site is going to become more than just an on-line ad for the magazine. So, stay tuned. Also, post some responses to this blog, even if it’s just “test” and tell me if it was fairly easy to do.

The new website idea sounds good. Blog is easy to post to.

A story archive would be neat. In fact, an online version of the entire magazine either in HTML or PDF format would be even better.

So far, easy to comment to the blog. If it posts………..

This is a test to see if the moderation feature has been turned off.

Thanks for posting to the blog. I’ve started a story archive. I don’t know if I’ll ever put the whole magazine up, but I’m going to start putting up quite a bit of the back issues.

As many know, I love to write but have to confess I’ve never posted a “blog”. Good luck Robert and Ellie. Grandma is calling…needs help with baby Maya. Emily just got home from the hospital. She was diagnosed with cirvical cancer after a routine test on Oct 11. Her Dr at the Veterans Administration Hospital referred her to a specialist at a nearby private hospital. There we were told treatment would be radiation and cemo. After many more tests, we were relived to hearthat surgery, a radical hysterectmy, was recommended. We go back on 12-7 for a fo;llow up to remove a cathater and get the final word from a pathology report…but all looks very positive and we feel blessed this Thanskgiving.

Sorry to hear of Emily’s problems. She’s always so energetic it’s hard to imagine she could even get a cold. You’ll both be in my prayers.

Hey Robert! I like your web page. Its easy to respond to a thread on your Blog, but I don’t see where I could start a subject on my own.
Keep up the great work! Even though I live up north in Colorado, I still enjoy your articles. Barry’s column always hits home.
    Take care,
    Bud
